APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please review the following instructions to determine which options are
available to assist you in applying for OKDHS positions. If you do not meet one
of the following categories you cannot apply directly to OKDHS. Instead, you
must use the
Office of Personnel Management   job application system to be considered for
this agency's positions.
Anyone with a bachelor's degree may apply to OKDHS for child welfare

Job Announcements.
If you are an employee of the State of Oklahoma you may be eligible to apply
directly to OKDHS for most positions. If you are serving in a probationary
status and do not have reinstatement eligibility, you are not eligible to apply
directly to this agency for most positions.
If you are unsure of reinstatement eligibility, you may contact the
Office of Personnel Management at 405-521-2171 or the OKDHS Employment
Services Unit at 405-521-3613, weekdays from 8:00 to 5:00.
If you have reinstatement eligibility you can apply directly to OKDHS. If
you are a former OKDHS employee be sure to click on the "Check here if you
are a current or former OKDHS employee" box on the
Application Information Page.
If you are not a permanent employee of the State of Oklahoma you may
apply for positions in the unclassified service that are open to applicants from
all sources. These positions are readily identified by noting that the job title
will be listed in all capital letters and the announcement number will end with the letter "U" (example: 08-Z035U).
